HurlingThe Harps Senior team maintained their senior status for 2014 when they got the better of local rivals Ballinakill in Saturday’s relegation final.  Our lads showed a huge work rate and pride in the jersey right from the start.  Despite conceding two first half goals against the run of play, The Harps managed to stretch into a 0-13 to 2-2 half time lead.  Even with renewed effort from Ballinakill, The Harps dictated matters in the second half and never looked in trouble.  With Michael Lanigan deadly accurate from free’s and good scores from John Brophy, Sean Burke and Ronan Delahunty, The Harps survived on a score line of 0-19 to 2-7.  With our minors competing in the minor county final for the second year in a row the future looks bright.
